Summary of Measures to Assist CMU Students Affected by the COVID-19 Situation 


In consideration of the hardships the COVID-19 outbreak has placed on students, Chiang Mai University has agreed to:
1. Reduce tuition fees by 10% for all postgraduate and undergraduate programs at all levels, including dormitory fees on-campus for the summer term 2019 and throughout academic year 2020.
2. Provide scholarships of 150 million baht for affected students.
3. Establish a student loan worth 250 million baht and extend the deadline of payment for tuition fees, dormitory fees, both on and off campus, including living expenses.
4. Provide initially a 3-month mobile phone SIM card for all students.
5. Prepare a tablet for students in need so that they can continue to study online.
Chiang Mai University continues to maintain the quality of teaching standards, health and wellness services, accident insurance, IT support, etc. for all students.
