On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, the International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), Chiang Mai University organized a faculty development seminar at Kantary Hills Hotel, Chiang Mai. The full day event was aimed at preparing instructors for the upcoming Semester 2/2567.
The seminar began with an opening report from Asst. Prof. Dr. Thacha Lawanna, Head of the School of Digital Innovation. The official opening remarks were delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Rujira Ouncharoen, Dean of ICDI, who emphasized the importance of continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
Key sessions included an update on new teaching strategies, covering topics like exam management, result publication, and data privacy (PDPA) guidelines. Other discussions focused on the advisor’s role in student support, research funding opportunities, and the process for applying for academic positions, led by respected faculty members.
In addition, a review of the teaching outcomes and challenges from the previous semester. Faculty members contributed valuable insights into improving teaching strategies for both undergraduate and graduate programs. The day concluded with a discussion on the evaluation criteria for academic staff with the goal of enhancing faculty performance.
