ICDI-CMU embarked on a significant mission to Strathclyde Business School (SBS), University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland on May 30, 2023.

The International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI) at Chiang Mai University, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Rujira Oncharoen, the Dean of ICDI, recently embarked on a significant mission to Strathclyde Business School (SBS), University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland on May 30, 2023. This purposeful visit aimed to engage in negotiations for cooperation with esteemed partner universities and foster further academic collaboration.
The visit was part of the One Faculty One MoU (OFOM) project, which is a strategic initiative organized by Chiang Mai University under the Quick Win project of Plan 13. This initiative focuses on stimulating, propelling, and encouraging academic cooperation activities with existing foreign partners. The main objective is to facilitate the exchange of knowledge, research operations, and the expansion of innovative opportunities for the students and staff of Chiang Mai University.
During this visit, the delegation from ICDI had the privilege of meeting with key executives, including Professor David Hillier, Associate Principal and Executive Dean of Strathclyde Business School. Additionally, they interacted with esteemed faculty members and coordinators, such as Professor Ian Wooton, Emeritus Professor of Economics, Professor Matthew Revie, Head of Department, and Ms. Helen Templar, Head of International Partnerships. The group also had the opportunity to explore the university's surrounding area.
The primary purpose of the visit was to engage in productive discussions concerning the progress of the Double Degree Program 1+1 at the Graduate Level and 2+2 at the Undergraduate Level. Moreover, the delegation had fruitful exchanges regarding challenges and suggestions relating to the project. In addition to this, future collaborations, including Study Abroad, Student Exchange, and Academic Staff Exchange projects, were explored and deliberated upon.
This visit symbolizes a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts of ICDI and SBS to strengthen their academic ties and pave the way for enhanced educational opportunities and innovation for the students and staff of Chiang Mai University.
