CMU ranked first in chemistry and psychology by SClmago Institutions Rankings (SIR)

The SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR) 2023 classifies research institutions from university, public to private sectors using three factors: Research (50%) measured from the number of publications and citations on Scopus, Innovation (30%) from the number of patents on PATSTAT and Societal (20%).

In the overall ranking, 30 Thai higher education institutions made the list this year out of 4,533 participating institutions worldwide. Chulalongkorn University topped the national ranking (1,355th worldwide) with Mahidol University at second (1,744th) and CMU at third (2,681st).

In the 19 subject rankings, CMU made the list in all subjects and was in the top 300 in Dentistry and Veterinary. In Psychology and Chemistry, it was ranked first nationally. The details of the subject rankings are as follows.

The result in the rankings is a testament to CMU’s capacity in producing research and innovation for society, driving SDGs following the university’s mission and national development scheme.
