Dr. Hunsa Sethabouppha from the Department of Psychiatric Nursing, Faculty of Nursing, Chiang Mai University, was awarded the Outstanding Award for Alcohol Control 2021 by the Office of Alcohol Control Committee, Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health. Dr. Hunsa will receive a plaque of honour from Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsawali Krom Muen Suddhanarinatha on the occasion of the National No Drinking Day (during the third week of July, 2021) at the Office of Alcohol Control Committee, Department of Disease Control, Building 3, Talad Kawn sub-district, Mueang district, Nonthaburi province.
This award was given based on continuous activities regarding alcohol control that encourage community participation. Policies, measures, plans, projects, and activities were initiated and implemented to control alcohol consumption, leading to undisputed improvement. Moreover, appropriate channels and methods were employed for effective alcohol control in the social domain.
