Times Higher Education Rankings has announced its Asia University Rankings 2021 and the important results are as follows.
The top five universities in Asia were 1) Tsinghua University, 2) Peking University, 3) National University of Singapore, 4) University of Hong Kong, and 5) The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
Thai universities that made the list were Mahidol University (130th), Mae Fah Luang University (187th), Chulalongkorn University (194th), King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (201 - 250), Chiang Mai University, Khon Kaen University, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, and Suranaree University of Technology, all placed in the 351 – 400 range and, in the 401+ range, Burapha University, Kasetsart University, King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok, Mahasarakham University, Naresuan University, Prince of Songkla University, Silpakorn University, Srinakharinwirot University, and Thammasat University.
The indicators include 1) teaching (25%), 2) research (30%), 3) citations (30%), 4) international outlook (7.5%) and 5) industry income (7.5%).
