International Relations Officer from the International College of Digital Innovation at Chiang Mai University have been selected to represent Chiang Mai University and Thailand at the "27th Staff Training Week" hosted by the University of Granada (UGR) in Granada, Spain
Ms. Thanyaphorn Sriwichailamphan, representing the International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI) at Chiang Mai University, participated in the "27th Staff Training Week" from May 20-24, 2024. This event gathered experts in international relations field from over 60 higher education institutions across 34 countries.
The main objective of this training week was to exchange experiences and ideas in international relations, particularly regarding the management of student and personnel exchange programs. Participants shared various working and management practices, aiming to enhance the daily operations of their respective institutions. Throughout the week, they attended a series of workshops organized by UGR's International Affairs staff and the Office of the Vice President for International Affairs and PDI. These workshops aimed to strengthen UGR's international cooperation and build a more competitive international relations network. Additionally, the program included cultural activities to introduce participants to the city of Granada and its heritage.
The University of Granada is a national and European leader in exchange programs. The training for technical, managerial, administrative, and service personnel (Personal Technicians, de Gesti?n y de Administraci?n y Servicios or PTGAS) is essential for effectively serving students, teachers, researchers, and PTGAS members. This includes participating in international research projects and promoting collaboration in an increasingly connected world.
This year, the EU-financed Erasmus+ program welcomed staff from partner universities in countries such as Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, and Turkey. Non-EU countries, including Albania, Algeria, Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Brazil, Cuba, Ecuador, Egypt, Honduras, Jordan, Kosovo, Libya, Palestine, Peru, Pakistan, Philippines, Tajikistan, Thailand, Tunisia, and Ukraine, also participated.
