The exhibition "Life and Contours" a result of collaboration within the Sustainable University-City Network (University-City Platform).

On Saturday, August 17, 2024, Assistant Professor Dr. Pandin Unjanam, the Dean, along with faculty members from the Faculty of Architecture, Chiang Mai University, participated in the opening ceremony of the "Life and Contours" exhibition. This event was a collaboration between Chiang Mai University, Chiang Mai Municipality, Saga University, and Saga City Municipality, Japan.
The event was honored by the presence of:
Mr. Chatchawan Panya, Deputy Governor of Chiang Mai Province
Mr. Higuchi Keiji, Consul-General of Japan in Chiang Mai
Professor Dr. Ekachai Maha-ek, Vice President of Chiang Mai University
Mr. Weerawit Teerasawat, Deputy Mayor of Chiang Mai Municipality
Mr. Torikai Hirotaka, Deputy Mayor of Kashima City, Japan
Professor Dr. Toyoda Inchihiko, Vice President of Saga University
Assistant Professor Dr. Thaniya Jetiya-anukornkul, President of the Japanese Alumni Association, Northern Branch
Along with deans from the Faculty of Architecture, University of Phayao, and Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna, as well as members of both communities, who came together to congratulate and inaugurate the event.
This collaborative effort within the Sustainable University-City Network aims to expand partnerships through joint city-building programs between Chiang Mai University and Saga University, under the University City Development Platform. The initiative is supported by the Big Bang International Projects at Chiang Mai University, driving international collaboration towards joint research and innovation.
The exhibition presents the stories, culture, and way of life of Chiang Mai, Thailand, and Kashima, Japan. It is open for public viewing from now until September 30, 2024, at the 2nd-floor exhibition room, Chiang Mai City Heritage Centre (Hor Klang Wiang).
