CMU Agro-Industry Students Win Two Runner-up Awards at Food Ingredients Asia 2025

The Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, extends its congratulations to our students who have won two runner-up awards at Food Ingredients Asia 2025.

The first innovation, “Barlivra – ACE Inhibitor Peptides” – bioactive peptides inhibiting Angiotensin Converting Enzyme derived from Samoeng barley with a precise targeted delivery function – received an award under the Functional Ingredients theme.
Team members: Ms. Rattanaporn Rinpan, Ms. Parichat Pakskin, and Ms. Yurim Lee.

The second innovation, “Sa Kum Malt Brew” – a non-alcoholic beer produced from Samoeng barley enriched with “Kam Kao Chao” rice bran CMU 107, containing outstanding types and quantities of bioactive compounds – received an award under the Ready-to-Eat & Ready-to-Drink theme.
Team members: Ms. Chitlada Na Lampoon, Ms. Thannaporn Jeanpitak, Mr. Sitthidet Thongdonyod, Mr. Natthaphong Kanma, and Ms. Thayanee Tanpriyachaya (ICDI).

The advisory team includes Asst. Prof. Dr. Suphat Phongthai, Asst. Prof. Dr. Wannaporn Klangpetch Ueno, Dr. Pipat Tangjaidee, Dr. Tabkrich Khumsap, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Kridsada Unban.
