Science and Technology Park
On September 3, 2022, CMU STeP led two teams of CMU students who won the northern region competition earlier this year at the national round of the APEC Regional Youth Symposium, which lasted four days and three nights at Suan Dusit Place Hotel. 15 teams, representing all regions, brainstormed solutions and development ideas based on the BCG model using technology or innovation for concrete resolution.
Teams from CMU won two awards at the symposium.
• Winner: Team Phenocov+
Project: Oral spray with ingredients developed from agricultural waste to reduce exposure to virus and inflammation from pollution
• Second runner-up: Team Foodprompt
Project: Platform for specific food therapy and production, integrative nutrition, artificial intelligence and modern production technology to address malnutrition in elderly patients
• First runner-up: BIOPOT from Burapha University
Project: Ecofriendly plant pot
The APEC Regional Youth Symposium is initiated by Youth In Charge, a platform by In the Lead (Social Enterprise) Co, Ltd with support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and NRCT. It gathers opinions and suggestions from youths on their local development that is balanced, inclusive and sustainable. The brainstormed ideas will be presented to leaders from various sectors later this year.
