On November 20, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. (People's Republic of China time), a delegation from the International College of Digital Innovation at Chiang Mai University, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Benjamas Suksatit, Associate Dean, visited the Chenggong Campus of Long-Spring Education Group's Yunnan Province Preparatory College of Overseas Study in Kunming, Yunnan Province, People's Republic of China. The purpose of the visit was to negotiate academic cooperation and facilitate student preparation for international program applications, particularly focusing on the Bachelor's degree with 17 international undergraduate programs offered at Chiang Mai University.
During the visit, discussions were held with school administrators, including Mr. Wu Minglin, Vice President of Long-Spring Education Group, and Mr. Wang Lei, Executive Dean of Yunnan Province Preparatory College for Overseas Study. The negotiations centered around academic collaboration and the preparation of students for international study programs. Chiang Mai University's Bachelor's degree offerings, comprising 17 international undergraduate programs covering digital preparation and English language skills, were highlighted. These courses are designed as a preparatory pathway for high school-level students. Upon successful completion, students can accrue credits, allowing for credit transfer when entering an international program at Chiang Mai University.
Notably, the educational institutions involved have affiliations with 23 well-known high schools, 15 of which are located in Kunming, Yunnan Province. These schools cater to over 35,000 high school-level students throughout the People's Republic of China. Students attending these schools receive training and preparation to pursue higher education in leading international universities.
