   International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), Chiang Mai University, participated in preserving the tradition of the Thai New Year celebration in the Lanna region during the Songkran Festival 2024. Led by Associate Professor Dr. Benjamas Suksatit, Associate Dean, along with 20 students and staff, the college joined the procession of carrying sacred water from Chiang Mai University's ceremonial site. This was part of the effort to uphold the tradition of the Lanna New Year celebration during the Songkran Festival on April 13, 2024. The procession included significant Buddha images from various temples in Chiang Mai province, allowing the public and tourists to participate in the water-pouring ceremony for blessings. The procession started at Charoen Muang Road, moved across Nawarat Bridge through Tha Phae Gate, and concluded at Wat Phra Singh Woramahawihan.
