Vice President of Chiang Mai University Participates in the International Conference “ASEAN & Indian Higher Education Leaders’ Conference”

On January 28 - 29, 2019, Associate Professor Dr. Sampan Singharajwarapan, Vice President of Chiang Mai University represented the university in the international conference “ASEAN & Indian Higher Education Leaders’ Conference” at O.P. Jindal Global University in India. The conference was held under the concept “Achieving Research Excellence within ASEAN & Indian Universities” and the purpose of this conference was to provide a platform for exchanging ideas, cooperating and expanding the network of research, as well as creating guidelines for seeking research funding sources, developing interdisciplinary research potential, and facilitating cooperation between researchers in India and ASEAN countries. On this occasion, CMU’s Vice President gave a lecture on the topic “CMU Research Ecosystem for Excellence and National Strategy” and also visited Professor Dr. C. Raj Kumar, President of O.P. Jindal Global University, to discuss the future cooperation on research of the two universities.
