CMU & THSE hold the 5th Environment Asia International Conference

CMU’s Science and Environmental Research Center, Faculty of Science together with Thai Society of Higher Education Institute on Environment (TSHE) hosted the 5th Environment Asia International Conference on “Transboundary Environmental Nexus: From Local to Regional Perspectives” during June 13 – 15, 2019 in Chiang Mai. Ms. Assadabhorn Kraipanon, Inspector, Ministry of Natural Resource and Environment presided over the opening ceremony and Professor Dr. Wanida Jeensart, Associate President of TSHE and Associate Professor Dr. Sampan Singharajwarapan, Vice President of Chiang Mai University provided the welcoming speeches.
The Environment Asia International Conference was first held in 2009 and has been organized every 2 years by TSHE, whose aim is to develop education and research in the field of environment and it is expected that this conference will generate environmental studies on a local, national and international level.
The 5th conference saw more than 300 people attending including faculty members, researchers, experts, professionals, students from higher educational institutes and related offices. This was a stage for sharing opinions and experiences and included presentations on new technology and innovations in environmental science, natural resource management, environmental engineering, environmental management, environmental pollution and environmental health impacts.
