On March 6 - 15, 2019, Assistant Professor Dr. Sakarat Na Lampang, Associate Dean for Organizational Relations and Continuing Education, Faculty of Dentistry, Chiang Mai University and Assistant Professor Dr. Kanyarat Korwanich had welcomed Dr. Koichi TABETA and 11 undergraduate dental students from the Faculties of Dentistry, Universities of Niigata, Tohoku and Okayama, Japan for a short visit in Community Dentistry, at the Dental Section at Hang Dong Hospital, Nong Prathip Community and Rom Luang Health Promotion Hospital.
The delegation of Japanese dentist students also visited the Dental Special Clinic, Orthodontics Clinic, Center of Excellence for Dental Implantology, Restorative Dentistry Clinic, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic, and Prosthodontics Clinic.
This visit was part of the collaboration between the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Niigata and the Faculty of Dentistry, Chiang Mai University for short exchange visits.
At the end of the visiting program, the Faculty of Dentistry, Chiang Mai University gave certificates of visitation to the Japanese students and in this occassion, they also made their presentations on the following topics:
- The oral health service system in Japan
- Prevalence of Dental Caries and Periodontal disease in Japan
- Summary of the short-term visiting program in Chiang Mai.
