        Mrs. Orapan Kankonsue, Deputy Director of the Chiang Mai University Library and Chairperson of the Green Library Development Committee, along with library personnel, participated in the seminar "Green Libraries Towards Net Zero" and the "Climate Action Organization with CoolMode Clothing" certificate award ceremony at the 2023 Annual General Meeting of the Green Library Club and the Green Library Network Executives Meeting. The event was organized by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) or TGO, in collaboration with the Green Library Club, the Green Library Network, and the Mahidol University Library and Knowledge Center (MU). Mr. Kiatchai Maitriwong, Director of TGO, presided over the event and presented the certificates to the climate action organizations for their adoption of CoolMode clothing.

       On this occasion, the Chiang Mai University Library received the "Climate Action Organization with CoolMode Clothing" certificate. A total of 33 organizations were awarded this certificate in recognition of their efforts to expand knowledge and raise awareness regarding greenhouse gas management, such as Organizational Carbon Footprint (CFO), CoolMode labels, and greenhouse gas offsetting, among libraries nationwide. The certificate honors organizations that have incorporated CoolMode clothing, demonstrating their commitment to environmental conservation, social responsibility, and reducing electricity usage for air conditioning, which helps to lower both direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions. This initiative supports Thailand’s goal of achieving Carbon Neutrality and Net Zero GHG Emission. The event took place at Room 217, Sirivitthaya Building, Faculty of Liberal Arts, Mahidol University, Salaya District, Nakhon Pathom Province, on November 1, 2023.
