The International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI) at Chiang Mai University actively engaged in negotiations and discussions with the Xi'an Chamber of Commerce Peking University, Xi'an Branch (Xi'an Peking University Chamber of Commerce Association) in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, People's Republic of China.

On December 22, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. (People's Republic of China time), the International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI) at Chiang Mai University actively engaged in negotiations and discussions with the Xi'an Chamber of Commerce Peking University, Xi'an Branch (Xi'an Peking University Chamber of Commerce Association) in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, People's Republic of China.
Led by Assistant Professor Dr. Benjamas Suksatit, Associate Dean, a delegation from ICDI visited the Xi'an Chamber of Commerce Peking University, Xi'an Branch. During this visit, they met with the President of the Xi'an Chamber of Commerce Peking University, Xi'an Branch, Mr. Wang Haizhou, who is also a Member of the Xi'an Municipal People's Political Consultative Conference. Additionally, the delegation engaged with executives of the Xi'an Chamber of Commerce Peking University, including Mr. Xu Changsheng, Secretary-General, Mr. Wang Xi, Vice President, and Mr. Wei Wei, Vice President.
The primary focus of the visit was to negotiate and finalize an academic cooperation agreement (MOU), with discussions encompassing entrepreneurship training and the promotion of 17 international programs at the undergraduate level offered by Chiang Mai University. The negotiations also covered the following key issues:
1. Public relations and support for students from the northwestern region of China pursuing bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs at Chiang Mai University. The Xi'an Chamber of Commerce Peking University, Xi'an Branch, pledged to leverage its resources and mobilize its members to promote and publicize the 17 international programs, including master's and doctoral programs, in the northwest region.
2. Commitment to gathering resources to support and publicize students in partner schools, particularly those at the middle and high school levels from the northwestern region of China who are studying at Chiang Mai University.
3. The Xi'an Chamber of Commerce Peking University Xi'an Branch is committed to leveraging its own resources and mobilizing Peking University alumni residing and working in Xi'an. This collective effort aims to engage in collaborative cross-border e-commerce industry initiatives, particularly in partnership with the International College of Digital Innovation. The Xi'an Chamber of Commerce Peking University Xi'an Branch will utilize its unique resources to support research ventures in areas such as Big Data, IoT, and others.
Notably, the Xi'an Chamber of Commerce Peking University Xi'an Branch boasts an extensive network of more than 100 companies operating under the umbrella of the Xi'an Chamber of Commerce. The organization is currently led by third-generation executives with specialized expertise in the cross-border e-commerce industry. Beyond the primary objective of supporting business operations, the organization is dedicated to promoting and driving operations in various areas, as outlined below:
- Encouraging affiliated businessmen to enhance their knowledge and expand their businesses by pursuing advanced studies at the master's and doctoral levels.
- Emphasizing a commitment to study and research initiatives that contribute to the continuous development and advancement of knowledge in the cross-border e-commerce business industry.
