CMU researcher receives TRIUP Award for Research Utilization with High Impact 2022

Dr. Jiranat Techarang, from CMU Science and Technology Research Institute, received the ‘Merit’ Prime Minister's TRIUP Award for Research Utilization with High Impact 2022 in the Appropriate Technology Category for his work titled, ‘New rice breed developed using ion beam technology to enhance production for Thai farmers’ from Professor Emeritus Soottiporn Chittmittrapap, M.D., who is the chairman of Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI). The TRIUP Fair was hosted by TSRI on April 4, 2022, at Samyan Mitrtown in Bangkok.
The award-winning research was headed by Dr. Jiranat himself and co-researched by Dr. Boonrak Phanchaisri, from CMU Centre of Excellence in Physics.
