Chiang Mai University Collaborates with KU Leuven and WHO - T?chne to Host Systemic Design for Health Summer School on Environmentally Sustainable Healthcare Facilities Resilient to Infectious Disease Outbreaks and Natural Hazards

Chiang Mai University (CMU), in collaboration with KU Leuven (Belgium) and the World Health Organization (WHO), is organizing a Summer School under the theme "Environmentally Sustainable Healthcare Facilities Resilient to Infectious Disease Outbreaks and Natural Hazards." The program, scheduled to take place from August 10 to September 2, 2024
On Monday, August 26, 2024, at the Faculty of Architecture, Chiang Mai University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pandin Ounchanum, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, welcomed participants to the opening ceremony. Asst. Prof. Dr. Worakanya Buranaphatthana, Assistant to the President of Chiang Mai University, presided over the ceremony. The event also featured speeches from Dr. Narong Tananuwat, Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Belgium in Chiang Mai, and Dr. Alisa Yanasan, WHO Thailand Representative. Additionally, Mr. Michele Di Marco, WHO - Techne Coordinator, introduced the WHO - Techne network, while Assoc. Prof. Koen De Wandeler from KU Leuven presented the Summer School "Systemic Design for Health 2023 - 2024."
This Summer School brings together experts and students from various disciplines across Southeast Asia to exchange experiences and knowledge on sustainable healthcare systems. The program includes case study presentations and tests of the Comprehensive Resilience Assessment System (CRAS), developed to enhance the ability to respond to future infectious disease outbreaks and natural hazards.
