Yunnan Normal University donates medical equipment to CMU

Corporate Communication and Alumni Relations Center (CCARC)
On behalf of Chiang Mai University, the President, Clinical Professor Niwes Nantachit, M.D., received 10,000 face masks, 50 thermometers, 50 safety glasses and 50 personal protective equipment generously donated by Yunnan Normal University, People's Republic of China, in order to support CMU in controlling the spread of COVID 19 virus.
In a short ceremony, Mr. Shen Yi, Director of the Confucius Institute at CMU and Associate Professor Rien Loveemongkol, Director of University Academic Service Center, acting on behalf of the President of Yunnan Normal University, Professor Jiang Yongwen, offered the equipment to CMU’s President on May 26, 2020.
Chiang Mai University and Yunnan Normal University enjoy a close relationship that includes strong academic cooperation. Since the signing of an academic cooperation agreement, both universities participate in co-curriculum organization and the exchange of academic staff and students.
