Round University Ranking (RUR) has published its world university rankings for 2021, compiled using data from the ISI (Web of Science) based on four indicators: teaching (40%), research (40%), international diversity (10%) and financial sustainability (10%).
Chiang Mai University ranked third in the country, 23rd in ASEAN and 552nd worldwide.
Teaching is the indicator for which CMU had the best performance, placing 461st, up from 543rd last year. In research, CMU ranked 585th, an improvement from last year’s 645th.
This year, CMU saw an improvement in overall performance, moving from last year’s fourth place with a total score of 39.127 to third with a score of 45.549.
