The International College of Digital Innovation, Chiang Mai University
organized a faculty development activity under the “Academic and Administrative Innovation Development Project” aimed at enhancing academic personnel capacity through a study visit to leading organizations in the People’s Republic of China. The visit took place from May 12–15, 2025, covering key innovation cities: Wuxi, Suzhou, and Shanghai.
During the trip, the delegation led by Asst. Prof. Dr Rujira Ouncharoen, Dean, with an honor by Dr.Kitipong Promwong and Dr.Saowaruj Rattanakhamfu, ICDI Board of Director Committee, visited institutions and organizations at the forefront of global industry and digital transformation:
- Xuelang Future Centre – A model space for smart digital industry and a key hub for innovation in Industrial Internet and AI technologies driving Smart City development
- Longshine Technology Group – A leading provider of integrated digital platforms for energy and utility management, offering advanced solutions in smart energy, cloud computing, big data, AI, and IoT
- Jiangnan Film & TV Art Vocational College – A top-tier educational institution specializing in training professionals in the creative industries, including film acting, animation, broadcasting, photography, art design and aviation business
- SKF & SIGER Data Technology – SKF is a global leader in precision bearing manufacturing for various industries, while SIGER focuses on innovation with data, offering digital and intelligent solutions for high-precision manufacturing industries
This study visit provided valuable insights for faculty members, which will contribute to the improvement of academic programs, teaching methodologies, and research initiatives in alignment with future skills and global workforce demands.
