Students from the International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), Chiang Mai University received the First Prize in Innovation Track in Huawei ICT Competition 2023-2024 Asia Pacific Final Round.
Congratulations to the distinguished student team from the ICDI, Chiang Mai University, comprised of Ms. Kornkamol Liebsuetragul (Student ID: 642415002), Ms. Witchavee Noinivorn (Student ID: 652415053), and Ms. Kammaporn Kangwalwattanasiri (Student ID: 652415068), under the guidance of Project Advisor, Lect. Dr. Nares Suyaroj. The team has won 2nd Prize in Innovation Track at the Huawei ICT Competition 2023-2024 Global Final Round, hosted by Huawei Headquarter in Shenzhen, P.R. China during May 23-26, 2024. ICDI students team present their project on “LARY Voice Detector” which is a prototype for developing an application to measure voice quality, train pronunciation, and provide pronunciation recommendations based on academic principles. The LARY application allows patients to test their voice before receiving treatment from a therapist. It separates hoarse voices from normal ones using Huawei Cloud AI Technology/ Model Art. The application uses a voice database and classification models to distinguish between normal and hoarse voices, Including displaying the sound quality percentage.
The Huawei ICT Competition 2023-2024 has a total of 160 teams competing from 49 countries. In the Global Final, Innovation Track, there are teams competing from many countries, such as Brunei, Laos, Philippines, Pakistan, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Turkey, Greece, South Africa, Morocco. Ghana, Brazil and Colombia.
