งานวิจัยเรื่อง Response of elephant peripheral blood mononuclear cells when stimulated with elephant endotheliotropic herpesvirus glycoprotein B (EEHV-gB) มีวัตถุประสงค์ในการศึกษาเพื่อศึกษาแอนติเจนที่เหมาะสม ที่จะสามารถนำมาพัฒนาเป็นวัคซีนป้องกันความสูญเสียจากโรคติดเชื้อเฮอร์ปีส์ไวรัสในช้างต่อไปได้ในอนาคต
